WHOOOO - I'm in the Store & 2 Freebies!

I have my first exclusive collection up at Snap and Scrap (thanks, Gillian!).

It is called Grant, and it is a mostly boy kit...but I put some peach in there and some bows.

You know me, all about the versatility.

Now, when you go to Snap and Scrap - please do & check out all the awesome stuff there - you won't find my designs under RoseMadeDesigns. I am using my name. It's a little change, but change is good! Also ALL of my products at Snap and Scrap are EXCLUSIVE. I will not be selling them anywhere else!

The full kit has 17 papers, an alpha and over 40 elements.

You can see it here:

http://snapandscrap.net/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=18&products_id=355

Here is a layout I did for the Color Challenge at Snap and Scrap...a monochrome layout (hmmmm...that sounds so familiar - LOL).

This is Little Bit doing her thing while we are all doing something else (playing badminton).

Scroll down for a freebie of this page.

You can also get the papers, elements and alpha separately.

Papers are here:

http://snapandscrap.net/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=16&products_id=356

Elements are here:
http://snapandscrap.net/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=17&products_id=357

The alpha is here:

http://snapandscrap.net/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=13&products_id=358

I also have this bracket album made from the Grant kit. There are lots of different pages here, but they go together for an album if you want to use them all. There are 10 photo-ready pages, 2 journaling pages and 5 blank pages you can customize.
A little birdie told me this will be on sale on August 13th for a VERY low price!

And, here is an example layout from the album. DH and I have very few pictures together except our wedding photos. We went to a studio a few weeks ago (with the kids and his visiting parents) and had some photos made. We did two poses. One was a little too sweetly romantic for our taste. I had to work hard not to laugh while being photographed. Then, we had a very nice one done of us back to back. This is the one I used for this layout - with a little brush work so we could be separated for the two spaces. Not too bad, I think. But, it is a skill I need to work on.

If you are new to the hybrid thing...don't worry. I have a simple tutorial you can download here:

http://www.4shared.com/file/58092054/f7f658d0/rmd_hybrid-album_tutorial.html

Great News and Tea for Tuesday!

I am going to keep you in suspense and tell you about Tea for Tuesday first - LOL!

This month, I will not be hosting chats at DigibyDesign (I need a little break). But, I will be giving you a mini kit (and maybe some extras) to post layouts with this month and a weekly challenge. You can earn a portion of the FULL August Blossoms kit each week for completing the challenge.

You will be creating your layouts with the August Blossoms Mini Kit. Isn't it pretty? I love these colors, so light and summery.

You get papers and a lot of elements like bows and flowers, so it's a little girly, but the green and off-white would be great for other kinds of layouts.

This is the posting gift for the August 5th Challenge:

The full August Blossoms kit has the richer, deeper colors of late summer and fall. There are 4 parts in all, so make sure you stay tuned to the DigibyDesign Tea for Tuesday thread for the challenge details each week. You are not going to want to miss any of this kit!

Now for the GREAT NEWS! I have been asked to join the Design Team at Snap and Scrap! I answered their Design Team Call, and they selected me and 4 other designers. This is very exciting! I am working on NEW kits to put in the Scrap and Snap Store, and I will let you know as soon as things are ready for you.

And, here's a little freebie to tide you over until Tuesday:

Images have been removed since the DigibyDesign store has closed.

Have a great day!

ARRRRG! I've been pirated! Chat News & Freebie!

Please excuse the following vent before we get to today's design news...

Well, it had to happen sooner or later...I learned from two very helpful ladies that one of my kits had been listed on 4shared for other folks to download at will. Thanks very much Jen and Sue for letting me know!!!!

I am not going to name names or even say which kit it was, but that 4shared account has been closed by 4shared, and hopefully this person will stop pirating. I also hope that no one else was pirated by this person. I am much calmer now than when I first got this news. Oh my, was I miffed! My visiting family were a little surprised at what thoughts I expressed out loud - LOL.

I want to believe that this person simply did not understand that taking something that has been created by another person and giving it away is wrong. Perhaps this person was not taught that stealing is wrong. Maybe this person does not have a grasp of how time consuming it is to design kits. Maybe this person just does not get it...redistributing someone else's work - EVEN FREEBIES - is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!!

I do not earn my living by doing this (although that would be a great thing), but I do earn some money. This fills a gas tank or two or buys my kids some clothes or shoes. So every kit I don't sell is a bit of something my family doesn't get. And, there are some designers who do have the talent and customer base to earn a living doing this...so remember that the next time you see a download link.

For more information, please see Jen's great blog about piracy:

http://jenjen.typepad.com/stoppiracy/

Please, let the designer know when you see piracy!

Okay...thanks for reading...back to our regularly-scheduled design news...
