This is a little later than I planned, but I have some metals for you to vote on for use with the Heritage kit I am making for my blog readers.

These are some silver styles.

Here are some gold styles. And, these are copper styles.

Please vote in the polls set up on the right side of the blog (as soon as Blogger will let me set them up), but until then, leave a comment for this post containing this information:

Favorite overall style for the color palette: silver, gold, copper or a mixture
Favorite silver style: A, B, C, or D
Favorite gold style: A, B, C, or D
Favorite copper style: A, B, C, D
Comments/Ideas

These are not necessarily the exact styles I will be using, but I wanted you to see what each of the three metal styles look like with the color palette.

Have a great day!

Scrap Saturday Freebie & Super Saturday Sale - August 18

The results are in! With 10.5 votes over Palette B's 1 vote and Palette C's 7.5 votes ---

PALETTE A IS THE WINNER!

This is the color palette I will be using to create the Heritage kit for my blog readers.I will be back later today with some other choices for you to make, so round up your friends!
I will probably set up a poll for these votes, but I will also need you to leave a comment about what option you voted for - in case the poll is not happy about being a poll - LOL.

Don't forget today at DigibyDesign, you can get my Wednesday Girl Sampler for 50% off - just $1.50!!! If you picked up Wednesday Girl yesterday during the $3.00 Friday event at Digiscrap Boutique (and even if you didn't), you'll want to get this kit, too. These items are not in that kit - they are more fun girly things like word ribbons, a crown, some flowers - stuff not shown in the preview, too. You can see all the Super Saver Saturday deals at DigibyDesign by going HERE.

And, the Scrap Saturday Freebie!

The download link will be posted in my Yahoo group, so you will need to join in order to get his freebie and Parts 1 and 2 of Ashbury. Ashbury and Peabody (see earlier posts to get the 3 parts of Peabody posted so far) are completely mix-and-match. They are created from the same color palette. Peabody is more sophisticated with traditional patterns. Ashbury has a more modern twist.

You can join my Yahoo group by going HERE.
Once you are a member, you can see the Links section listed on the left side of the home page.
Just click on the word Links, and you will see the listing of all the scrap goodies I have for you.
Sometimes I may post some there that my blog readers don't hear about...you never know.
RoseMadeDesigns Yahoo members also hear about sales, chats and challenges with calendar reminders...so you never miss any of my scrap events.

Thank you for your interest, but this freebie has been retired.

Have a great weekend!

Freebie Templates

I am learning to make templates, so you will be my guinea pigs - LOL. If you download and use these, I would love to know what you think of them and the included instructions. I want to have detailed instructions, but I need some input for programs other than Photoshop and PSE.
I'd also like to know what kind of templates you'd like to see.
These are pretty basic because I am just starting with this, and I want you to have lots of flexibility.
I want to see links to layouts made with them!!!! HINT HINT HINT

Thanks for your interest, but this freebie has been retired.

Thanks for your interest, but this freebie has been retired.

Freebie on Friday - August 17th

It's Friday - AGAIN! This week has just flown, and it is the last official summer weekend for me. I go back to work on Wednesday...but a new school year is a little exciting, so I'm not as bummed as I could be.

Since it is Friday, and I like to keep the masses happy (learned some lessons watching the Rome mini-series - LOL)...here is this week's freebie. You'll get three more papers and a handful of elements for the Peabody kit. Links for Parts 1 and 2 are still available. You just have to scroll down (quite a bit, sorry) to find them.

Heritage Wins!

Thanks for all the votes. It looks like I'll be making a Heritage kit for my blog readers! I'll have some color schemes posted soon for you to vote on. But, to tide you over...

I have two new quick page sets at Deco-Pages! They are vintage in feel, but they could be modern, too. They are clean and simple - and just $2.50 per set!

Set 1 is blue and green with matching vellum journal boxes and silver fasteners so you can add some quotes or whatever.

CLICK HERE TO SEE IT IN THE STORE

Set 2 is done in pink and cream with matching vellum journal boxes and gold fasteners.

CLICK HERE TO SEE IT IN THE STORE

And, here's a layout example using Set 1. This is my DH's grandfather, grandmother and aunt in the 1940's. The font is LDJ Aunt Elizabeth. I resized the brads from the kit.
I don't post layouts on here much, do I? Well, I am working on a slide show. I will get it up one day - LOL! To be honest, I think I have time to scrap one page for every 10 kits I do...if I scrap that often. That's really sad - LOL.

Have a great day!

Marcee

New Kit and Tuesday Chat

I have a new kit in the store - Leda!!!
This kit is full of bright colors and fun patterns!
It has 12 papers and 42 elements. This is a bit of a departure for me. I don't usually use all bright colors - but I think this turned out great. I really like the elements...they took a while, but they were worth it! And, thanks to Monica Larsen and Stacy Carlson for great designer tools.

This kit will be 25% OFF at DigibyDesign on Tuesday 8/7 since it is the featured kit for the Tea for Tuesday Chat. There are attendance and posting gifts, too!

I have the kit 25% OFF at Deco-Pages, too, for the first week of release.

You can find it in all three of my stores:

If you attend the Tea for Tuesday Chat at 1PM ET (11 AM Pacific) on Tuesday, August 7th, you will receive this attendance gift:

And, if you post a qualifying layout by Monday, August 13th, you will receive this posting gift.

I hope to see you at the chat!

August Challenges!

It's a new month and time for new Challenges!

I have 4 challenges going this month, and I hope you take part in all of them. There are some cool posting gifts and lots of fun and friendship!

CHALLENGES AT DECO-PAGES

ABC Album Challenge

We are working on a FAMILY IN ACTION album - letters J-O. Don't panic, you only have to do one page for the challenge!

This is the posting gift for August:
I have been giving away parts of my Wisteria kit. There are just a few parts left, but there are more than enough goodies to make lots of feminine and vintage layouts. I'm sure you'll love the soft lilac, purple, cream and butter shades in this kit.
This month you'll get 2 papers, 2 charms, some ricrac, a brad, 1 ribbon and alpha letters J through O and numerals 4 through 6.
Find out all about this challenge HERE.

Holiday Challenge

I really like finding fun holidays to scrap about for this challenge! I have chosen Friendship Week for the August Holiday Challenge. You can find out all the details HERE.

This is the posting gift for August:
You'll get lots of pieces of my Summer Pie kit - 3 papers, ricrac, ribbons, buttons, bows and brads. This kit will go into the store after the challenge is over, so grab it now for free just by submitting a Holiday Challenge layout!

Material Girl Challenge

Another fun challenge is the Material Girl Challenge. I give you a little scrapbooking element or papers, and you use it in a layout you post to receive a neat posting gift. This month you get to work with some flowers. Aren't they great...these are also from Summer Pie...so they match all the Summer Pie pieces!
You can find out all about the challenge HERE.
This is the posting gift...more fun pieces from Summer Pie! I know you'll want to do both of these challenges so you can get them all!

CHALLENGE AT DIGIBYDESIGN

Elements Challenge

Following the Friendship theme for the month of August, I have a fun challenge at DigibyDesign this month. I am giving out some friendship-themed word art. If you post a qualifying layout for the challenge, you'll get a posting gift.

This is the posting gift for August. All of the challenge gifts at DigibyDesign are done with the same colors and theme, so the more challenges you do, the bigger your kit will be!
I have 5 papers, 2 flowers and 3 ribbons for you. Find out about the challenge HERE.

I can't wait to see your layouts for all of these challenges!

Marcee

Weekend Freebies!

It's time for more FREEBIES! I know these are late getting to you, but jet lag is absolutely awful going west to east. I was up until 8:30 AM this morning, and got up about 2 PM...talk about backwards!
Anyway, here are some papers from new kits I am working on...they share the same color palette so you can mix and match if you like!
Over the next month or so, I will give out more parts of the kits before they go into the store.

Babette and Betsy will be removed as freebies very soon (TOMORROW), so get them while you can!

Peabody is a sophisticated masculine kit...lots of elegance with a cozy touch. Think of wood-paneled libraries, smoking jackets and lush winter throws, and you'll have where I'm going.

Please remember to share only by giving a link to my blog home page. Do not share the files or the direct link in any way - even if you receive nothing in return, that's still stealing!
Please leave some love. I love to know what you think. And, don't forget to vote in the poll for the blog kit I'm going to make for you!
Thank you for your interest, but this freebie has been retired.

This set of papers is for my Yahoo group members. Ashbury has the same colors as Peabody, but the patterns and elements will be more contemporary in flavor. They're not quite mod, not quite hip, and not quite retro - but they are definitely not your grandmother's scrapbook kit.
You can click HERE to join so you'll never miss another RoseMadeDesigns Scrap Saturday freebie - even if today is Sunday - LOL.

Just Rambling,

Marcee

I am back from vacation and jet lagged to the MAX! I was up until about 6 AM this morning. It is now 10:30 AM...I have had a headache since yesterday. It's probably lack of sleep, lack of water and caffeine deprivation. I don't drink a lot of coffee or water when I travel on planes (for obvious reasons - LOL). But, I have java in hand now, and some great stuff to share with you!

It's time for the monthly MEGA kits!!!!

Deco-Pages has a great kit this month. It's full of country, family, love, and homespun beauty. We call it Country Potpourri!
I am proud to say my color palette was chosen to create this month's kit. I had a lot of fun creating my part: 14 backgrounds, 36 pieces of word art, 2 journal shapes, 5 tied ribbons, 5 buttons and thread, 12 stitched country shapes and 2 flowers. Plus, a cute shadowbox quick page. Here is my contribution preview:

And this preview shows more of the contributions for this month. I am sorry it is so small, but you can see a better view in the store.

This is a MEGA KIT - something Club Deco members get every month at Deco-Pages. Over a dozen designers contributed to this month's kit - right now, it is over 800 MB!!! More will be added very soon - we like to space out your downloads. This kit is available for free as part of a Club Deco membership. We have 2 options available - 3 months and 1 full year.

DigibyDesign also has a new MEGA KIT out this month - Going to the Chapel. This is a wonderfully romantic kit. I just love the soft colors and hearts, flowers and lacy things in this kit! This kit is well over 500 MB, and is just $3.99 for a limited time (regular price is $9.99 - still a bargain IMO). This is THE kit for anything romantic - wedding, anniversary, first date, prom - or anything soft and feminine!!!!

Here are some close-ups of my contribution to the kit. I made 9 background papers, 3 flowers, 3 heart charms, 4 ribbons, a set of silver filigree corners and 3 heart dangle charms on bows.
This is all the purple stuff I made:

JUST $3.99 (that's 60% OFF) for a limited time!

I know I am late again with the Freebie on Friday and the Scrap Saturday goodies, but jet lag is no fun! I hope to have goodies for you by Monday!

Just Rambling,

Marcee
