ARRRRG! I've been pirated! Chat News & Freebie!

Please excuse the following vent before we get to today's design news...

Well, it had to happen sooner or later...I learned from two very helpful ladies that one of my kits had been listed on 4shared for other folks to download at will. Thanks very much Jen and Sue for letting me know!!!!

I am not going to name names or even say which kit it was, but that 4shared account has been closed by 4shared, and hopefully this person will stop pirating. I also hope that no one else was pirated by this person. I am much calmer now than when I first got this news. Oh my, was I miffed! My visiting family were a little surprised at what thoughts I expressed out loud - LOL.

I want to believe that this person simply did not understand that taking something that has been created by another person and giving it away is wrong. Perhaps this person was not taught that stealing is wrong. Maybe this person does not have a grasp of how time consuming it is to design kits. Maybe this person just does not get it...redistributing someone else's work - EVEN FREEBIES - is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!!

I do not earn my living by doing this (although that would be a great thing), but I do earn some money. This fills a gas tank or two or buys my kids some clothes or shoes. So every kit I don't sell is a bit of something my family doesn't get. And, there are some designers who do have the talent and customer base to earn a living doing this...so remember that the next time you see a download link.

I hope everyone survived the cookouts and fireworks in the States! We had hot dogs, hamburgers, curly fries, potato salad baked beans and watermelon. It was nummmmmmy!

I'm Now at Studio Style Designs!

I have great news! I was asked to join the Design Team at Studio Style Designs, and I accepted.
